Linkin Park recruiting Bobby Amaru
We reported that Saliva frontman Bobby Amaru and collaborator with Mike Shinoda on the Already Over Sessions, recently fueled speculation that he might be joining Linkin Park as he posted a cover of “Lying From You” on Instagram and TikTok the day before. The California-based band has recently released the previously unheard ‘Friendly Fire’ featuring Bennington’s vocals. The track was originally recorded for the band’s 2017 sessions for ‘One More Light’. They also released ‘Papercuts (Singles Collection 2000-2023)’ in April, a 20-song overview of the band’s best-selling tracks over the past two decades.
Fans recently speculated that Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley might have been filling in for the late Chester Bennington. However, when the countdown reached zero, the timer on their website switched started to count up and it disappointed the fans. Fans noticed that the timer glitched at specific times, including exactly at 9:05, leading them to think an announcement might come on September 5th.

As per Billboard, Linkin Park’s booking agency WME is now taking offers for concerts and festivals featuring Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson and Dave Farrell. Though it’s not clear who will succeed Bennington, it is also reported that the band are looking for a female vocalist for their reunion.
