John 5 Gives an Update on Marilyn Manson
Mötley Crüe guitarist John 5 recently appeared on THAT Rocks! and shared updates about some of his musician friends. When asked how Marilyn Manson was doing after years of legal trouble, John 5 said Manson seems to be in good shape.
He explained that while he doesn’t know the details of Manson’s situation, he has heard positive things:
“I know he’s doing really well… he’s in really good spirits… and he’s looking great.”
John 5 Reflects on His Time With Manson
John 5 played guitar in Marilyn Manson’s band during the early 2000s. He left shortly after their onstage fight at the 2003 Rock am Ring Festival. Despite the tension back then, John 5 still spoke kindly about his former bandmate. He said he hasn’t talked to Manson recently but has seen photos and heard through friends that Manson is doing “really, really well.”
While they haven’t spoken in a while, John 5 made it clear he holds no bad feelings. He said Manson “looks great” and seems to be on the right track, even if their communication has been quiet for some time.
“I’ve seen pictures of him online and he looks great and he seems to be very well which I hear through the grapevine he’s doing really really well. No, I haven’t talked to him in a little bit.”
John 5 Also Misses Talking With Rob Zombie
The conversation then turned to Rob Zombie, another former bandmate. John 5 left Zombie’s band when he joined Mötley Crüe. When asked if they had spoken since the split, he admitted they hadn’t.
“I have not had dialogue with Rob… and I wish I would. I miss talking to him,” he said.
John 5 also complimented Zombie’s band and live show, saying he hopes they reconnect soon.
