New Tool Album ‘Fraud’ Called Out By Surprising Name

Tool have been called out by a surprising name: their most loyal fans on their hugely popular Reddit page. Tool fans who purchased a ‘Tool Army’ fan club membership on the band’s website for the new Tool album Fear Inoculum North American tour presale tickets are accusing Maynard James Keenan, Adam Jones, Justin Chancellor, and Danny Carey of committing fraud by claiming that ‘Tool Army’ fans could purchase regular presale tickets, rather than just the highly priced VIP tickets that were available on Wednesday. Howard Stern reviewed the new Tool album on Tuesday, and revealed how the band rejected him.

YubYub247 wrote, “I’m sending this to orders@toolband.com regarding this complete fraud that’s been committed on us all, in a response email to my order confirmation of the merch package that comes with joining Tool Army. I suggest anyone else in my boat do the same.

To whom it may concern,

This email is regarding the incredibly deceptive advertising that toolband.com and the press release about pre-sale tickets have committed by making it seem that there would be regular tickets to purchase for Tool Army members, today at 10am. This was not the case, as there are only VIP tickets available. I purchased a Tool Army membership for $49.99 in the hopes of obtaining a couple pre-sale tickets, not some exorbitantly priced VIP ticket which were ostensibly ONE of the options, not the ONLY option.

That would be enough of a grievance in my opinion to warrant a full refund on my membership, if it weren’t for the fact that LITERALLY ANYONE can access these VIP tickets by following this link: https://embed.onelivemedia.com/events/29050

So given that it was exceptionally unclear that VIP tickets would be the only option, and that my signing up for Tool Army was unnecessary to get access to any of the tickets on sale, I’m requesting a full refund for my membership of $49.99 and that I still receive the merchandise package that came with this membership. I think that’s completely fair given the inconvenience, confusion, and complete betrayal of the trust of the fans of this amazing band. If this isn’t dealt with in a timely manner, I will be filing for a chargeback through my credit card on the grounds that it was a fraudulent transaction because of blatantly false advertising (for which we all have the evidence), the second the charge is no longer pending in my credit card account. Please right this wrong!”

Maynard James Keenan called out his ‘paranoid’ Tool bandmates a few days ago. CNorris1stBORN said, “I’ve never been a fan of bait and switch. I was going to just deal with it but now that the presale is available TO EVERYONE and not just Tool Army members, I’m pissed. I just finished my charge back for my TA membership. Was easy through Capital One.”

Howlin_For_You commented, “I just filed a dispute claim with my bank. I was honest and told them the merchant used false and deceitful advertising.”

He added, “I called them and disputed as fraud. They said they will need evidence and I told them I have the press release and screen shots.” Tool revealed how a big name was brutally disrespected at a Nine Inch Nails festival recently.
