Liam Gallagher recently sparked controversy following his recent comment on Axl Rose.
Liam Gallagher opens up on Axl Rose
“Liam what do you think of axl rose just curious biblical legend,” a fan asked the singer on X.
“She’s amazing,” Liam said in his response.
This isn’t Gallagher’s first statement on Guns N’ Roses. It was last year that another fan asked again, “Rasta, you think Guns n Roses were Oasis nemesis around the 90s?” Liam replied, “No.”
Liam usually makes comments on other artists, too on X. He recently answered Pete Townshend’s words on Oasis. A fan asked him on the platform, “Liam, did u see Pete Townsend said he was ‘disappointed’ Oasis is back together?? For a good reason tho -he says he loves your solo stuff.”
Gallagher wrote in his reply, “Bless him.” Townshend made these comments in a new interview with The Standard.
The guitarist noted the following about the Oasis reunion, “Well, I’m disappointed.” When asked if missing out on tickets bothered him, Townshend replied, “No, because I really like their solo albums.”
Oasis recently reunited on August 27th this year which is 15 years after the Gallagher brothers’ feud split the band. Ticket prices quickly became a big topic since fans had to pay more than double due to dynamic pricing.
Musicians like Myles Kennedy, Jack White, and David Gilmour have shared their thoughts on ticket costs. “Oasis should do what’s right for them. Chose a ticket price and stick to it,” Gilmour explained.
“One of my favorite choruses of all time,” Myles Kennedy reflected on Oasis in another interview with Rockklassiker.
“As a songwriter, a lot of times we think in parts, like, ‘Oh, that’s a great part. Why couldn’t I have written that part?’”
He continued, “And to me, one of the greatest choruses ever written is ‘Champagne Supernova.’ That is such a massive hook. So I would love to see that live. Just that moment would be worth whatever bazillions of dollars they’re charging.”
Oasis’ first reunion show will be on July 4th, 2025, in Cardiff, Wales. After another concert in Cardiff, they will perform five gigs in Manchester.
