Ozzy Osbourne was ashamed of affairs
In his final memoir “Last Rites,” released just two-and-a-half months after his death on July 22, Ozzy Osbourne opened up about his past affairs and the pain his infidelity caused his family.
The Black Sabbath frontman admitted that he suffered from sex addiction and that his wife Sharon had “every right to dump” him when she discovered he had been cheating.
“At some point you get trapped and you can’t stop seeing ‘em, ‘cos you think they’ll go to the press or whatever. Which is pretty much what happened,” he wrote in the book. “Sharon was like, ‘What the f*ck did you expect, Ozzy? If you’re seeing enough women, one of ‘em’s gonna want more. And that’s the one who’s gonna bring the whole thing crashing down on everyone’s heads.'”
Ozzy went on to say that he owned up to being the “bad guy” and was grateful that Sharon eventually chose to forgive him.
“I broke my wife’s heart, and I’m lucky she forgave me. I just hope all the people I hurt know how sorry I am — including the kids, who were badly affected,” he wrote. “And that’s all I wanna say about any of that, ‘cos bringing it up just causes more pain.”
Ozzy’s Affair With Hairdresser
When Ozzy’s three-year relationship with Los Angeles hairdresser Michelle Pugh was exposed by People and Us Weekly in 2016, Ozzy’s world was rocked. Pugh, who worked at Meche Salon in Beverly Hills, described the romance as “electric and real,” claiming she and Ozzy shared a deep emotional bond. “It wasn’t just sex,” she said. “I genuinely loved him and still do.” According to reports, Sharon discovered the affair after noticing unusual credit card charges and confronting Ozzy about his behavior, which ultimately led to their brief separation in May 2016.
At the time, Ozzy initially denied the seriousness of the relationship, but later admitted in an interview with The Guardian that he had been battling sex addiction and entered therapy after Sharon threw him out of their Beverly Hills home. “It’s a compulsion. I’m sorry if it caused my family pain,” he said. “I’m not proud of what I’ve done.” The scandal shook the Osbourne family, with their children reportedly urging their father to seek treatment. By late 2016, Ozzy had completed an intensive rehab program for sex addiction, and Sharon agreed to give him another chance. The couple quietly renewed their vows on Mother’s Day 2017, a symbolic gesture marking forgiveness and a new beginning after what Sharon later called “the worst betrayal of my life.”
