The Beatles legend Paul McCartney has reacted to the death of SLO Ticketing founder Shelley Lazar, who died on Sunday from cancer. Lazar worked with artists like Beyonce and Barbara Streisand, and was an innovator in music when it comes to VIP and premium ticket options for fans. Her nickname was ‘The Ticket Queen.’

McCartney tweeted, “Fond fun memories of our lovely MF Ticket Queen, Shelley x #MFTQ #ShelleyLazar #rip.” He also shared touching photos of himself dancing with Lazar at a party.

Elton John wrote about the death of Lazar on Instagram, “Very sad news today with the passing of Shelley Lazar. She looked after my tickets for years, and worked with such greats as the Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney. Why? Because she was the very best and a legend in her field. She will be deeply missed by the legions who loved her. #RIP @lazarshelley @kevinmazur.”

Paul McCartney also recently announced, “Professor Longhair’s ‘Live On The Queen Mary’ will be re-released April 5 with a new foreword by #HughLaurie. Released in 1978 on Harvest the recording captures a legendary performance from the ‘Venus and Mars’ album release party thrown by @PaulMcCartney.
