The Beatles icon Paul McCartney has released a goodbye note to childhood friend and broadcast journalist Peter Sissons after his terrible death at 77 years old, the same age as Paul. Paul McCartney revealed if Ringo Starr played a real role in songwriting with The Beatles yesterday.

“Dear Peter, my old school mate from the Liverpool Institute (now LIPA) has passed away. It’s so sad to hear the news. We were in the same year and stayed in touch as time went by and we both followed our separate careers. He was a talented news presenter with a great sense of humour. I will miss him but always have fond memories of the time we spent together. My sympathies go out to his family and I send my love to them all.

Thanks for the good times Pete. X

Paul McCartney.”

Paul McCartney’s horrible The Beatles paycheck was revealed earlier this week. McCartney wrote in his new September newsletter:

September has whizzed by! From magical adventures with Grandude to the Abbey Road album’s 50th anniversary celebrations and the launch of Linda McCartney. The Polaroid Diaries, this action-packed month has been a ride like no other…

Inspired by his own experience of being a grandude (a name his grandchildren gifted him) Paul’s first picture book Hey Grandude! landed on bookshelves around the world to the delight of children and adults of all ages. Paul and illustrator Kathryn Durst made a special appearance at Waterstones, Piccadilly for the launch, where Paul read to a group of schoolchildren and signed copies of his book. To help London get in the mood for adventure, Kathryn painted some wonderful pictures of the characters on the shop windows! Choose your own adventure and pick up a copy of Hey Grandude! at your local bookshop or online. Paul McCartney’s family recently made a disturbing announcement.
