Pearl Jam Detail Tour Dates With Alice In Chains

Pearl Jam uploaded a very rare photo a few days ago on their Instagram detailing their 1991 tour with Alice In Chains, back in their Mookie Blaylock days.

The short tour of the United States focused on the West Coast. The majority of the shows found Pearl Jam serving as the opening act for Alice in Chains on the band’s Facelift tour. Bassist Jeff Ament said, “We were then in the mode of ‘Well, we’ve got to write a bunch of songs.’ It wasn’t long after that we got a tour with Alice in Chains. It was kind of how we wanted it to be, we didn’t want to fuck around. I think Stone and I both knew the potential that he and I had together—but we needed to get out and play, and get better.”

Following the tour, the band soon signed to Epic Records. However, concerns about trademark issues with the name “Mookie Blaylock” necessitated a name change; the band’s name became “Pearl Jam”. This was Pearl Jam’s only tour with original drummer Dave Krusen. Krusen left the band in May 1991 following the completion of the recording sessions for the band’s debut album, Ten. Footage from the February 10, 1991 concert at The Bacchanal in San Diego, California can be found on Alice in Chains’ Music Bank: The Videos DVD.

In more recent news, Pearl Jam has been selected as the official Record Store Day Ambassadors for 2019! Record Store Day takes place on April 13th at independent record stores around the world. In celebration of Pearl Jam’s Record Store Day Ambassadorship, SiriusXM’s Pearl Jam Radio: The Faithfull Forum opened up the phone lines to talk vinyl earlier this week.

This site is one of the worst I’ve ever seen, you are on par with those fake shitty paid ad pages. The click bait titles, the piss poor articles . Just brutal

    • John Conaway

Did you just reveal the truth about this site? The word “reveal” is used so often in the titles, I’m not sure what I’m reading anymore.

      Something like this:

“Music site reveals terrible journalism” would be an actual statement that is logical.

“Pearl Jam details tour dates with Alice in Chains” is misleading and designed for clicks only, which I suppose is paying the bills here, but sure is annoying as hell.

If that’s what counts as “Original Content” these days, I’m the ghost of Roy Clark playing speed metal jazz guitar for Miles Davis.

Exactly! The site should be renamed either ‘clickbait.net or reveal.net.”

        • TheTruth

I think the first thing they teaching clickbait school is how to use the word “reveal”.

In the past, I’ve suggested to Brett that there are online dictionaries and thesaurus’ available and perhaps he might indulge himself in using either or both.

    Dear Google:
I am “not interested in articles from Alternative Nation.”
    The end.

There’s an ad-on if you use Chrome that blocks this site from Google searches. The only problem is no Stone Temple Pilots news searches will pop up because this is the only site that reports on them continually, lol.

  • TheTruth

There isn’t an article on here anymore that doesn’t get ripped to shreds…and deservedly so. This site is the worst of the worst.

Fucking wankers! “News” from 28 years ago. What a bunch of tossers!

Mate, you’re fuckin awful, leave it out, pack it in. What rubbish.
