Former Pearl Jam drummer Dave Abbruzzese wrote a message to Chris Cornell’s brother Peter to mark the 4-year anniversary of Chris’ death.
“It’s my birthday and it is also the time when I received the most shocking news. I just wanted to take a moment and express my gratitude for having had the opportunity to have a relationship with both Peter and Chris. I will never forget the pride Chris expressed while sitting in my studio listening to Peter’s music. Brothers. Thank you brothers. Love.”
Peter Cornell wrote on Facebook, “Today we celebrate Brother’s gifts to the world and his legacy. Sending so much love to his fans, be good to yourselves. We thank you for all of the love you continue to shine on Chris. Brother I miss you everyday and love you always!”
A fan named Patty commented, “I have difficulty in expressing the words I want to say. I didn’t know but loved your brother’s music and delighted that he was much more than his music but an amazing spirit, wit, heart and soul. I cried more about his death than my divorce which I was going through at the time. Much love to you and your family. We are here and will always be. Be good to yourselves too.”
