Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder recently revealed the name who will produce the band’s upcoming album. In a recent interview with MOJO, Vedder revealed that it is none other than Andrew Watt, who is also set to for the producer role on his Earthling album. Vedder’s new album is due out wherever records are sold February 11th. Eddie Vedder had previously dropped bombshell about Morrissey’s new album.

Eddie Vedder on Andrew Watt being named the producer:

We’ll make a record with Andrew, I believe. We’re already talked about it. You know, the pandemic came right we were leaving for a tour on the Gigaton record,” Eddie said,“We had a lot of shows planned. Two-thirds of those shows were put on sale, even. So one thing we’ll be doing in 2022 in making good on promises to play those shows. Then, in between, I think we’ll be recording, because now we’ve got a strong, healthy ambition to do so.”

Eddie also added that Pearl Jam will play a lot for a year or two given that pandemic permits them to perform. They will then slow down a bit and focus on recording their new studio album which will mark their twelfth of their career.

Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder‘s third solo album Earthling is set to be released for Seattle Surf via Republic Records on February 11, 2022 on all digital platforms as well as on CD. The vinyl version will come out April 29. The release date of deluxe CD and cassette versions haven’t been announced. The pre-order of Earthling is currently available on pearljam.com.

Vedder’s new album is produced by Andrew Watt and features several special guests such as Josh Klinghoffer, Glen Hansard, Pino Palladino, Chad Smith, Benmont Tench, Andrew Watt, Taylor Hawkins and other musicians. Elton John and The Beatles’ Ringo Starr are also rumored to be present in Earthling.
