Pearl Jam will perform in Los Angeles at the Forum on May 6th and 7th, with the dates set to be officially announced soon. Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder second solo album, ‘Ukulele Songs’ is quite popular among the fans. It turns out that UMe/Republic Records is set to reissue both deluxe edition and standard edition LP versions of the album. It has been noted that the album is set to be released on May 6.
Eddie Vedder’s album is set to get relaunched
Eddie Vedder’s second studio album, including 16 original songs & new arrangements of classic standards, is set to be relaunched on vinyl for the first time since the original release in May 2011.
THe album features a number of songs that Vedder penned and first played live, Ukulele Songs also includes a ukulele version of Pearl Jam’s 2002 track Can’t Keep and guest vocalists on two tracks: Glen Hansard on Sleepless Nights and Cat Power on Tonight You Belong To Me.
The deluxe edition LP features the original 16-track Ukulele Songs album on high-grade 180-gram black vinyl in expanded packaging that includes a 16-page booklet and a special lithograph. The standard edition LP has also been pressed on 180-gram black vinyl.
The album was produced by Eddie Vedder and Adam Kasper (Foo Fighters, Soundgarden) and the Ukulele Songs peaked at No. 4 on the U.S. Billboard 200, hit No. 2 on the U.S. Top Rock Albums on Billboard, and achieved Gold status in Canada.
