Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron recently missed a show in Oakland due to his medical condition. NME had reported that Cameron tested positive for the virus that caused the global pandemic. However, the rest of his bandmates, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard, Mike McCready, and Eddie Vedder, appeared to have tested negative.

The drummer was replaced for the gig as touring member and former Red Hot Chili Peppers member Josh Klinghoffer played the songs “Rockin’ In The Free World,” “Corduroy,” “Why Go,” “Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town.”

Now, it seems Cameron is doing better as he just released a song. He took to his Instagram account and dropped a video clip of a new song.

Pearl Jam’s recent show is a part of their tour supporting their album “Gigaton.” Their shows were halted two years ago due to the ongoing pandemic, but they’re back. The first show kicked off in May at the Viejas Arena in San Diego, California.

Pearl Jam launched their 2022 tour in San Diego on May 3 marking their first live performance of the year. Band frontman Eddie Vedder began the concert with a solo performance of Warren Zevon’s “Keep Me in Your Heart,” and then introduced the show’s opener, former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, who played with his solo band Pluralone before joining Pearl Jam for the rest of the evening. (Klinghoffer will perform with the band for the entirety of the tour.)

The band’s upcoming shows include cities like Fresno at the Save Mart Arena, Sacramento at Golden 1 Center, Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, New York at the Madison Square Garden, Oklahoma City at Paycom Center, and many more. Their last show will be on September 22 at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.
