Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins shockingly passed away at the age of 50. The band was due to play on the same day of his death. They were scheduled to play at the Festival Estereo Picnic in Bogota, Colombia. This led to the band reportedly canceling the rest of their South American tour.

Previously, they were replaced for the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. They were further replaced for Osheaga 2022 show as well when Arcade Fire was named the replacement. It was previously noted that Muse will replace Foo Fighters on the Rock in Rio Lisboa poster, performing on June 18th. They have once again been announced as the replacement of Foo Fighters.

Muse to replace Foo Fighters

Muse’s “Will of the People” is scheduled for August the band led by Matt Bellamy will play like this for the fourth time at the Bela Vista festival, where it was present in the 2008, 2010 and 2018 editions.

The PRP recently reported that Muse will be replacing the Foo Fighters at this year’s Aftershock Festival, which will take place from October 6th to October 9th at Discovery Park in Sacramento. They will headline the festival’s final date.

Foo Fighters canceled most of their touring plans for this year in the wake of the recent passing of their drummer/vocalist Taylor Hawkins. It is not clear whether or not Dave Grohl and company will continue the band with a replacement for Hawkins, who had been a member of the Foo Fighters for more than two decades.
