Controversial rocker Kid Rock recently revealed that he hit the links with his golfing buddy, President Donald Trump, and was introduced to something he had never heard before.

“Golfed with your favorite President again recently and he played me a live version of James Brown and Pavarotti performing ‘This is a Mans World,’ Rock wrote on his X page. “Can’t believe I have never heard this. Incredible!”

Pavarotti, a legendary Italian operatic tenor recently passed away in 2007 at 71. Brown, the “Godfather of Soul”, passed away in 2006 at 73.
And this isn’t the first time the Detroit area rocker, who now lives in Nashville, has posted on X about golfing with the President. Back in March, Rock said Elon Musk showed up.
“Was golfing w POTUS this past weekend. Always dang fun. He is the absolute GOAT,” Rock wrote on X. Who added that Musk came out to “hang for a few holes.”
Kid Rock, an ardent supporter of Trump, also played piano at the White House earlier this year.

Rock is semi-retired from concert touring, but he did play a handful of shows this year. He does not have any concerts currently scheduled for 2026.
Last month, Kid Rock also delivered an emotional tribute to the late Charlie Kirk during his performance at the Hondo Rodeo Fest in Arizona on November 8th. The musician stepped in for country singer Cody Johnson, who was recovering from a ruptured eardrum, and used the moment to honor Kirk, who passed away at age 31.
During the concert, which took place around 9 p.m., Kid Rock paused after singing the first verse of Johnson’s acoustic song “Til You Can’t.” He told the audience that weeks earlier he had woken up early one Sunday morning with the song stuck in his head. He said he felt compelled to write an additional verse and later realized who had inspired him to do so.
