The Blast is reporting that former Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave bassist Tim Commerford is being sued over an alleged car accident that left the victim with over $65,000 in medical bills.

Alec Chaice claims in court documents he was riding his motorcycle on the 10 Freeway in Los Angeles on April 24, 2018. Chaice says Commerford was driving next to him when the legendary bassist changed lanes and crashed into him, causing significant injury.

The Blast were told Chaice underwent lumbar spinal surgery and a nerve root block procedure and has a six-inch scar on his back — and a $65,000 medical bill — as a result. Chaice is suing for his medical expenses, economic loss, damage to property, plus interest and costs.

Tim Commerford has yet to comment on the lawsuit. He is also in the middle of an ugly divorce.

The Blast is reporting that former Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave bassist Tim Commerford has gotten a restraining order against his wife Aleece. The couple are currently in the process of getting a divorce. Aleece has been ordered to stay 100 yards away from Commerford and venues that his band Prophets of Rage plays.

“According to the documents, Commerford accuses Aleece of showing up ‘uninvited and unannounced’ to a home he was crashing at, allegedly gaining access to a Porsche that was parked at the house and then ramming the garage door of the house in order to illegally gain access to the residence.

Commerford says Aleece made her way into the house and ‘screamed’ as she made her way inside. He says once Aleece located him inside the home, she allegedly ‘viciously assaulted’ the rocker with her iPhone and ‘fists’ that caused severe injuries to his face and body.

He also provided bloody photos of the injuries as evidence in the court filing.

He says Aleece then began to attack the person who owned the residence, but she fled the scene when police arrived. Commerford says the police response was delayed due to the California wildfires, but claims Aleece was later arrested at her home.”
