Rage Against The Machine/Prophets of Rage/Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello wished a happy birthday to his bandmate Tim Commerford on Instagram.
“Happy 50th bday to the irrepressible #TimmyC, probably THE most ‘punk rock’ guy I’ve ever met. There are musicians and then there are ARTISTS and Timmy is firmly in the latter camp. Timmy was the guy who first suggested Zack do punk rock screaming in #RATM.
Timmy beat the living crap out of a drug dealer on the floor of a Porsche dealership. Timmy in a glowing moment of friendship & love once saved Chris Cornell’s life. Timmy wrangled together the 2007 RATM reunion. Timmy is an Olympic caliber cyclist. Timmy once arm wrestled the strongest man in the world. Timmy water boarded John MacEnroe (fact.) Timmy’s tattoos are better than yours.
Timmy invented (but thankfully never put to use) the Blood Enema Exo-Skeleton. Timmy scaled the set, pulled a cops mustache, and caused havoc at the 2000 VMA’s. Oh yeah, and Timmy’s also the baddest bass player on the planet. #FuckYouTimmyWontDoWhatYouTellHim.”
