Saturday night at the KROQ Weenie Roast, Blink-182 performed as the surprise act just an hour before Red Hot Chili Peppers canceled their performance due to Anthony Kiedis being rushed to the hospital. Before the cancelation was announced, Blink-182 were interviewed backstage. Drummer Travis Barker told a hilarious story about Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith peeing in Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins’ fan, leading to his urine flying all over him.
Barker said to Blink-182 bandmate Mark Hoppus, “Do you remember, when we were in Australia, Chad Smith would pee in Taylor Hawkins’ fan. It’s the worst practical joke ever, but yeah. I don’t think he would appreciate if I peed in his fan, but if I can get on stage I’ll try.”
Mark Hoppus responded, “I didn’t know that, this whole time, I never knew that. I’d fly home.”
Barker added, “It was so funny, so wrong.”
He also revealed that he has drank his own urine, “Urine is weird. I drank my own urine a couple times. It just happened. I thought it was Gatorade, it was the worst, and I was really high at the time.”
