Former Van Halen singers Sammy Hagar and David Lee Roth definitely do not get along at all, with Roth even releasing a vicious depiction of Hagar recently. Despite this, the Red Rocker was able to praise a Roth era Van Halen classic in a new fan Q&A. Alternative Nation transcribed some of the questions and answers.

The first fan asked, “Sam, do you have a favourite David Lee Roth song? 🤟🏻🤟🏻” Hagar answered, “Unchained.”

A fan asked about Roth’s art depiction ripping Sammy, “Sammy, my fav VH album is 5150, and God knows I love the Dave era too, and I dig that he’s drawing. But the man is livin’ in his own crazy world these days! I’m an illustrator and I didn’t get the joke in this picture – but glad you took the high road!”

Hagar responded, “😂 I didn’t get it either but it was interesting I guess that’s art sometimes.”

Another fan asked, “Well it does say at the top left corner “laugh to win”.. So Sammy if you did laugh??..well you know the rest..😁🤘🤘🤘”

Hagar responded, “😂 I laughed and love it🥂.” Hagar had plans for a big tour with The Circle this year, also featuring Michael Anthony, while David Lee Roth planned to continue his tour with KISS. Both plans were scrapped sadly due to the pandemic.
