Late Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland’s son Noah Weiland posted an emotional tribute to his late father on what would have been his 54th birthday.

“I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT TO SAY BUDDY. I LITERALLY DO EVERYTHING IN MY POWER EVERYDAY NOT TO THINK ABOUT YOU BUT THE MOMENT I FINALLY CRACK ID RATHER GET KNOCKED OUT THAN THINK ABOUT HOW MUCH I FUCKING MISS YOU. IT JUST DOESNT MAKE SENSE. I WANT TO TELL YOU SO MUCH AND I CANT CALL YOU ANYMORE.

I WOULD SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE IN JAIL AS LONG AS YOU WERE WITH ME. I FUCKING HATE THIS WORLD WITHOUT YOU. I JUST WANT TO DROP THE SONG WE HAVE TOGETHER ALREADY BUT SOME DUMB SHIT KEEPS HOLDING IT BACK.

I WANT TO DROP THIS SONG BECAUSE ITS ALMOST LIKE WE CAN CELEBRATE IT TOGETHER. SOMETHING I COULDNT DO WITHOUT YOU. AND I KNOW YOU WOULDVE BEEN SO PROUD OF ME. I LOVE YOU NO MATTER HOW MUCH PAIN YOU BROUGHT UPON ME.”

Noah is referring to the song “Time Will Tell” the title track of a new posthumous album that has been frequently delayed in the last few months. Former Wildabouts guitarist Doug Grean is also working on the album.
