Sharon Osbourne Details ‘Digital Ozzy’ Future Plans
Sharon Osbourne and her son Jack Osbourne have outlined how they plan to preserve Ozzy Osbourne’s legacy through licensing, merchandising, and new technology, speaking during a panel at Licensing Expo 2026. The conversation focused on protecting Ozzy’s image while still expanding the long-running Osbourne brand for future generations.
At the event, License Global reported that the family has partnered with a company called HYPERREAL to create “the digital DNA of Ozzy Osbourne,” capturing his voice, image and movement for future projects.
Jack, reflecting on why Ozzy’s appeal remains broad across generations, said the late Black Sabbath icon never felt “unreachable” to fans and argued that any future partnerships must reflect the real person rather than a sanitised version. He described the importance of asking “What would Ozzy do?” when approving products or campaigns tied to Ozzy’s name and likeness.
The Osbournes have also dealt with multiple business and legal issues attached to Ozzy’s legacy in recent years, including a legal dispute Sharon Osbourne previously won involving Black Sabbath.
Sharon compared Ozzy’s long-term recognition goal to Elvis Presley’s enduring fame decades after his death, saying she wants the same lasting cultural presence for her husband. The Osbournes indicated that the HYPERREAL work could eventually allow fans to interact with a digital Ozzy that responds in his own voice, as the family continues shaping the next phase of the brand.
