Stone Temple Pilots & Alice In Chains Make 2020 Announcement

Stone Temple Pilots and Alice In Chains celebrated the 28th anniversaries of their albums Core and Dirt respectively on their social media media accounts, featuring the late Scott Weiland and Layne Staley. Alice In Chains just released an unseen Layne Staley album cover.

Both albums were released on September 29, 1992, and were the most commercially successful albums of both bands’ careers. Core sold 8 million copies in the United States, while Dirt sold 4 million copies.

Stone Temple Pilots posted, “28 years ago today our debut album Core was released and ‘Sex Type Thing’ was our first single and music video from that record. Let us know in the comments about the first time you saw the STT video!⁣
