Reports have emerged that Blink 182 is set to perform at Lollapalooza Brazil in 2023, likely with Tom DeLonge back. Lollapalooza Brasil 2023 is getting closer and fans are eagerly waiting for the official announcements. The event promises to have “the best line-up in the festival’s history” and it is quite possible that the three headliners have already been decided. Q101 has doubled down and stated that they were blowing Live Nation’s ‘nut’ on an upcoming Blink-182 tour announcement. Fans are speculating that a huge announcement will be made soon.

Blink-182 tour might be announced soon

Jason Tate recently opened up the Blink-182 tour announcement this month in his last two newsletters. It has been noted that Tom DeLonge is trying to get Turnstile on tour.

“Are we ready for the worst-kept secret in the music industry to finally get an official announcement? I can’t even count how many people I’ve heard from with one variation or another of what I wrote about in August. The last I heard from some little birdies was that Tom was at a festival talking about new music backstage and openly lobbying Turnstile to tour with them.

He also noted that October will be ‘fun’ as fans will witness releases from Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen, and The 1975. He claimed that the Blink-182 tour announcement will also be made:

  • And it should be a fun October! We have the big releases from Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen, and The 1975. None of which I’ve heard yet. We’ve got the new Early November dropping and if my birdies are to be believed, we’ve got that Blink-182 tour announcement finally coming as well. I’m hearing arenas- mid-October announcement. I’ve also heard they’ve been writing since early 2022, so I’d have to think new music could be coming leading up to next year’s shows.”

Blink- 182 fans have been waiting for a reunion for much longer now. Travis Barker had seemingly teasing a Blink-182 themed reunion. The band, as we were last aware now consists of Matt Skiba, Mark Hoppus, and Travis Barker, but that doesn’t mean that we won’t be seeing a reunion of the original lineup featuring Tom DeLonge.

There have been some small tidbits of easter eggs left for Blink fans like a re-issue of Tom DeLonge’s Fender strat which was made famous in his Blink-182 days. We will have to see if the lineup changes.
