Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan announced back in February that he expected the band’s new album to be released between mid-May and mid-July, and a later June or July release seems to be what Prague.eu is hinting at in a new concert advertisement. Prague.eu is the ‘Official Tourist Website for Prague.’ Their concert description states:

Tool
O2 arena, Českomoravská 17, Praha 9 – Vysočany, 190 00
Tickets
Music rock & pop
When?
Tue 4. 6. 2019 20.00

There are not many bands that boast such a great interest of fans and respect of critics. It’s a pity that their recordings do not come out more often, and that the concert tours also take place only once in a while. But there is no reason for sadness, because TOOL has a new album and before the release their European concert tour includes a stop in Prague.

Maynard James Keenan tweeted on February 8th, “Update- Midway through mixing. Most likely be a few recalls. Then some arguing. Then Mastering, Artwork, Video, Special Packaging, etc. Best Ballpark Guess- Release date somewhere between Mid May and Mid July. More focused updates to follow as we progress. @tool #simplemath.”

Keenan tweeted on January 4th, “Update- Final vocals tracked MONTHS ago. Then U.S.-UK-Euro run w #APC. If Tool all inst are tracked, long process of Mixing now. Meanwhile write/film/track w @puscifer for #puscifer2020 & troll the band FBs with wine posts. #funnyshit #whileyouwerewhiningiwasworking.”
