Former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony announced the death of the legendary Eddie Money on his social media account on Friday. A Van Halen icon savagely mocked Keith Richards recently.

“I am so saddened to hear of Eddie money’s passing. Van Halen played shows with Eddie in the late 70’s and he was a great inspiration and always fun to hang out with. Here are 2 pics from Cabo Wabo Cantina where Eddie jammed with us in 2017. My Dad hung out with him for a bit and had a great time!! Eddie, you will be missed, we know you’re up there entertaining everyone with your jokes!! Love and condolences from the Anthony family to Laurie and the family❤️ #loveyaEddie #great songs #greattimesdoingshowstogether #lovedthejokes #yourmusicliveson.”

Hagar commented on Anthony’s post, “May every cover band in the world, play an Eddie Money song tonight🙏.”

Hagar wrote in his own post, “RIP my friend. Memories like this and your music will live forever. Our love goes out to your wonderful family. I know you and Bill are rocking. May every cover band play an Eddie Money song tonight. #RIP #MoneyMan #HeavensRockin.”

A Van Halen icon recently unloaded on a horrible paycheck. David Lee Roth discussed rumors about the health of Eddie Van Halen this week in a KSLX radio interview, saying he ‘hears all the same rumors you do, and it’s not my place to guess.’

Roth also said, “I’m the face of Van Halen from this point on, most likely. I’m not sure what’s happening with Ed, but he’s probably not gonna answer the bell this time. And it’s not my place to guess. But we’ve been in touch. The fellows who I’m working with in terms of my road crew and the amps come from Van Halen.” Eddie Van Halen’s son reacted to a horrible accusation about his father a few days ago.
