Reporter Ana Belaval hosted a Smashing Pumpkins Shiny and Oh So Bright Vol. 1/LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun. listening party at the Adler Planetarium in Chicago during the WGN Morning News Primetime Special Wednesday, and frontman Billy Corgan had a funny proposal for her — having a baby.

Corgan: “When you’re ready to have another, just let me know.”

Belaval: “Oh no, that’s closed. Factory closed!”

Corgan: “Since this is the ‘primetime edition’ can we go a little more adult?”

Belaval: “I take that very personally, that factory is closed, if you want to go somewhere else, go right ahead!”

Corgan and Belaval have known each other for years. Back in 2013, he even serenaded her live on WGN at Madame ZuZu’s Teahouse. Corgan is a father to son Augustus Juppiter Corgan, who was present for the interview, and daughter Philomena Clementine Corgan. Smashing Pumpkins guitarist Jeff Schroeder was also present for the interview. You can watch the funny WGN clip below. The Smashing Pumpkins released their new album on Friday, the first to reunite Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlin in 18 years.
