Over the weekend, Flight to Mars, Pearl Jam guitarist Mike McCready’s UFO tribute band, held their 14th annual benefit concerts at the Showbox in Seattle. Proceeds from the show benefited the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America’s Camp Oasis program. Both shows paid tribute to David Bowie, along with a tribute to Lemmy with a cover of Motorhead’s “Ace of Spades.”
Barrett Martin, Chris Friel, Ayron Jones, Adam Czeisler, Kim Virant, Mike Ryan Waters, and Jeff Rouse also performed, with Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan joining for a cover of AC/DC’s “Let There Be Rock.” McKagan’s Guns N’ Roses bandmate Axl Rose is currently fronting AC/DC on their ‘Rock or Bust’ European tour.
