Can You Spot The Nine Grunge Era Bands In This Incredible Picture?


We were recently sent this photo that features visual representations of nine Grunge era 90’s band names by a reader. It appears to be from a children’s book. See below and leave a comment if you can figure it out!

Zildjian, a highly respected musical instrument company, called the 1990’s the ‘Dave Grohl era’ in a new poll. Being nearly 400 years old, Zildjian is one of the oldest companies in the world.

The Avedis Zildjian Company, simply known as Zildjian, is an American-based cymbal manufacturer founded in Constantinople (present-day Istanbul, Turkey) by Armenian Avedis Zildjian in the 17th century. It is now based in Norwell, Massachusetts. Being nearly 400 years old, Zildjian is one of the oldest companies in the world. Zildjian also sells drum-related accessories, such as drum sticks and cymbal carriers. It is the largest cymbal manufacturer in the world.

The ‘Dave Grohl Era’ was part of a new poll the company put out.

Before 1950 is the Gene Krupa Era, the 1950’s are the Buddy Rich Era, the 1960’s are the Ringo Starr Era, the 1970’s is the Keith Moon Era, the 1980’s is the Jeff Porcaro Era, and the 2000’s is the Travis Barker Era.

      It’s Pearl Jam instead of Nirvana. The 10th band pictured is Nirvana but being a state of mind is invisible 🙂

      • LOL I kept thinking it was a Beer Stein. Once I was committed to the alcohol theme all I could think was: ‘Nirvana.’ But: (I concur) Nirvana IS a “state of mind..” Thank you, for the save!
