Chris Cornell’s Widow Contacts Guns N’ Roses

Chris Cornell’s widow Vicky thanked Guns N’ Roses on Twitter for covering Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” in honor of Chris Cornell.

“Thank you @axlrose @Slash @DuffMcKagan @gunsnroses for so graciously honoring @chriscornell at #RockInRio #Soundgarden.”

Thank you so much for sharing this…somehow Guns N’ Roses tribute to Chris and the way they sing his song is very very touching. It seems the grief I feel for the loss of our beloved musician Chris brings back every grief ever suffered for a moment and it’s not a bad thing. Something tells me it’s good to acknowledge the losses. Most of us have people that we miss and they shouldn’t be forgotten.

What, does she have the hots for one of these guys now? I’m guessing she’s onto her next prey by now.

Notice the appearance of sadness along with the work? What a total change in presentation.

She’s a good actress. She wasn’t that emotional at the funeral. Ugh. 4+ months later, I still can’t believe Chris is gone.

Probably somebody has clued her into the fact that many of the fans were not happy with her previous behaviour.

And they probably also suggested that she start doing something different in regards to how to appear online.

If so, then if only they could do the same with Vicky’s mother.

One can’t help but wonder if the publicist aspect of all of this suggested a change in approach. I absolute abhor the way this precious time of grief over the loss of Chris Cornell has been messed with by all the stuff…Ativan…controlling the narrative..lashing out…inappropriate performances and instagram posts–it’s impacted the fans very badly and of course we can’t believe he’s gone. We’ve been so concerned that he’s not being treated with justice. The nonsense can delay the loving grieving process and make you get stuck at the anger stage. Oh how I wish they’d retreat.

Chris worked with both Slash and Duff (who is also from Seattle).

Soundgarden also opened for Guns N’Roses back in the 90’s.

So there is a strong connection there.

And Chris had nothing but good things to say about both Slash and Duff.

    The feeling was mutual.

Oh, Chris, there will never be another like you.

  • Olga Stewart

Guns N’Roses did a great job with the song.

And I couldn’t help but think if Axl ever sang with Soundgarden…

It’s a probably a bad idea but it never hurts to wish. :).
