Dave Grohl rose to fame as the drummer of Nirvana, which has been a popular band since 90’s. He is currently the Foo Fighters frontman. Dave Grohl recently joined the Smartless podcast hosted by Jason Bateman, Will Arnette, and Sean Hayes. During the podcast, the former Nirvana member was asked about how he spent the money which started coming in during his Nirvana days. But, before he could make a name for himself, Nirvana had almost fired Grohl for a big name.
Dave Grohl spent the money at KMart store
Dave revealed that his first paycheck from Nirvana’s recording career was worth $400. It was a huge amount for him back in the day, which he used up at the KMart store. He further revealed that he brought some items and even got inked. Previously, it was revealed that Grohl was offered to Join Motorhead.

“The first check I got was for $400.00, it was the most money I’d ever had in my entire life. And I went to the Fred Meyer – like KMart store, I bought a BB gun, a Nintendo, and I got a fucking tattoo, and then I was back to the corn dogs…”
Grohl with Foo Fighters band released their tenth studio album, Medicine at Midnight, which was originally planned for a 2020 release. However, the release of the album was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The album was finally released in February this year and debuted at number three on the Billboard 200.
