Eddie Vedder Joins Foo Fighters After Tragedy

Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder and Foo Fighters performed at the Tom Petty radio birthday show on Friday, honoring Petty after his tragic death from a drug overdose in October 2017. Petty would have been 70 years old this week. Dave Grohl and Eddie Vedder just did a big project together a few days ago.

Eddie Vedder paid tribute to Tom Petty at one of Pearl Jam’s last concerts, saying, “The last time I saw Tom Petty was right here last summer. It would mean a lot to me, because if he is out there, metaphysically, I just really want to get his attention. Tom I miss you. So you could you sing along and hold your devices with the lights. Let’s light up the sky. The audience complies generously. Lots of lights.”
