Joe Rogan has been involved in controversial incidents lately. It was noted how Spotify lost a whopping amount of $4 billion in market value after rock icon Neil Young called out the company for allowing Joe Rogan to use its service to spread misinformation about the vaccine on his popular podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience.” This has led to numerous amount of artists either removing their content from Spotify or asking to do so.

The company had refused to remove all of Joe Rogan’s content after a recent appeal from some musicians and podcasters. However, Spotify tried to find common ground and began removing several JRE episodes. It has been noted that the total number of deleted episodes of the ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ has reportedly reached 113. Another alarming issue followed suit over the weekend when a video compilation of him saying the “N-word” on his podcast went viral.

Recent edition of JRE got disappeared

The show’s new episode got briefly removed from Spotify on Monday for unexplained reasons—the second time in days that the show has mysteriously vanished. For a short period on February 21, Spotify users were unable to access the show from the streaming platform’s website, iPhone app, and the Android app.

The show now appears to be available again and it is not known why it vanished. The latest episode of The Joe Rogan Experience saw the comedian talk to Maajid Nawaz who is a founding chairman of Quilliam and a counter-extremism think tank. In the episode, Nawaz shared his thoughts on virus passports and compared central digital banking currency to the Chinese social credit system.  This seemingly sparked controversy as many claimed it was also misinformation. Rogan and Spotify are yet to comment on the matter. A ‘warning’ label has also appeared on the new episode.
