Megadeth is currently on the road in North America with Lamb of God as part of what is being called “The Metal Tour Of The Year”. Also appearing on the bill are Trivium and In Flames. Megadeth frontman, and former Metallica guitarist, Dave Mustaine was recently seen reprimanding an overzealous security guard at the band’s May 6 concert at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dave Mustaine berates security personnel

Before launching into the song “She-Wolf”, Mustaine, who lives in the Nashville suburb of Franklin said into the microphone: “Hey, Mister Security Dude. You there. Stop interfering with our show. Okay? You don’t need to go up on the f**king barricade and point at people. Everybody’s having fun. Cool it or I’ll ask for you to be taken out of the pit. Do you understand me? Do we have a f***ing understanding here? Don’t do it again.”

He then walked away from the mic for a few seconds before returning and addressing the crowd. “I’m sorry, you guys,” he said. “It’s just I don’t want your show to be f***ed with by a bunch of f***ing people that don’t know why they’re here.”

Megadeth new album, “The Sick, The Dying, And The Dead”, is tentatively due on July 8. The follow-up to 2016’s “Dystopia” features a cover of Dead Kennedys’ “Police Truck” and Sammy Hagar’s “This Planet’s On Fire”, the latter of which includes vocals from Hagar himself.

Recently, the Megadeth frontman was also spotted sneaking into the stands at an arena show disguised in a black hoodie. The musician discreetly approached a young fan and, without speaking any words, handed him some guitar picks, before waving goodbye and walking away.
