Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo was recently spotted with Rage Against The Machine bassist Tim Commerford. The Metallica member took to his Instagram account and posted a picture with Commerford after the band’s performance at the iconic Madison Square Garden.

He wrote the following in the caption:

Timmy C’ killed it last night! So nice to catch up w/ the mighty groove master, and his tribe. Madison Square Garden got a funkified Ass kickin’ (in the best way) Rage throwin down as they always do! I was so proud of these dudes last night, they did there first ever tour opening for Suicidal just before the release of their first record in Europe, and here they are 30 years later selling out 5 shows at The Garden. @rageagainstthemachine #ratm #rageagainstthemachine #madisonsquaregarden

Rage Against The Machine announced tour cancelation

Rage Against The Machine recently called off the August and September 2022 European leg of the tour. The cancelation was forced and it comes a month after singer Zack De La Rocha appeared to injure his leg and had been performing while seated ever since.

Rage Against The Machine released a statement via social media and it seems they pulled out of the tour due to medical advise.

Here is what the statement read:

“Per medical guidance, Zack de la Rocha has been advised that the August and September 2022 UK and European leg of the band’s tour cannot proceed. It is with great disappointment that we announce this cancellation.”

Rage Against The Machine will be finishing their run at Madison Square Garden on August 11, 12 & 14 and then Zack must return home for rest and rehabilitation. The flights, travel time, and rigorous schedule in the UK and Europe are simply too much of a risk for a complete recovery.”

“We are so sorry to all of our fans who have waited years to see us and hope to RAGE again soon.”Please contact your point of purchase for refunds to any headline shows.”

The band had kicked off its long-delayed “Public Service Announcement” tour on July 9 in front of roughly 30,000 fans at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin. Their comeback tour features support from Run The Jewels. The current tour marks the first time the reunited rap-metal quartet has hit the road together since 2011.
