Fans of the popular late-television host James Corden got quite the shock when it was announced that the ‘The Late Late Show’ host would be leaving after first taking over from former host, Craig Ferguson back in March of 2015. Corden’s popularity has mainly stemmed from his performance-based talent, charm, and such popular segments as Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts and Carpool Karaoke.

The latter of which, Corden has big plans for before he departs in 2023 as according to UK-based outlet, The Mirror, one unnamed Los Angeles-centered producer has stated that Corden is looking to book The Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger and Keith Richards for the show’s signature segment. This Mick Jagger dressing room photo was recently revealed by a big name. This would make sense as apart from being countrymen and one of the hottest band’s in rock and roll history, The Rolling Stones have never been featured on Carpool Karaoke. However, past guests have included Paul McCartney, Elton John, Britney Spears, and countless others. It should be noted that The Rolling Stones have declined to appear in the segment in the part.

However, according to the producer, [James] Corden is on a mission to serve up fans a year of great Carpool Karaokes with A list artists – and The Rolling Stones are top of his list. The producer would also state: “James is a huge fan of the band and their music. His dream is to sit in a car and duet with Mick and Keith. He has written to the stars and asked his booking team and producers to push hard for them to appear in a segment.”

In other news concerning Mick Jagger, during an interview with legacy pop-culture outlet, Rolling Stone, Iggy Pop discussed what he learned from Jagger along with the iconic, late frontman from The Doors, Jim Morrison. Credit to Farout Magazine for the following transcription.

“From Morrison, it was the way to stand at the mic — the stance and the grab. He hung on the stand. Nobody else did that. The other thing was he might do anything — and he doesn’t respect you. You don’t get respect for ten bucks — sorry! From Mick Jagger, it would be his moving around while he performs the song. Also, the voice as an irritant. When he sang, it was the opposite of nice.”
