Slash just announced a new album and tour featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. The album will be released September 21stand the tour kicks off a week before in Los Angeles. This dual announcement only proves one thing: Slash and Myles Kennedy are unstoppable.

Living the Dream will be released just over four years since the release of their last studio album together, World on Fire. Since then, Slash has gone around the world more than once, both with Myles and with his old bandmates in Guns N’ Roses for the insanely high-grossing “Not in this Lifetime Tour.” On the other hand, Myles put out a new record with Alter Bridge, a solo album, AND toured all three acts.

At the end of the day, Slash and Myles knew they had something special together. What started as Myles being featured on two tracks on Slash’s 2010 self-titled solo album, also featuring a number sang by Chris Cornell, Living the Dreamwill be their third record as a group following Apocalyptic Love and World on Fire.

Back when Myles first announced his debut solo album Year of the Tiger, he and Slash both denied there being any immediate plans. They supported each other’s’ separate acts in the meantime, but obviously knew they weren’t done writing together yet. As a fan of their work, I am really looking forward to hearing what this new record will bring to the table.
