Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason was recently interviewed on AXS TV’s ‘A Life On The Road,’ and he revealed how Roger Waters demanded cigarettes from a bandmate, and was rejected. Alternative Nation transcribed Mason’s remarks. A Pink Floyd icon recently admitted to lip syncing in a video.

“The Regent Street Polytechnic, that’s where I met Roger and Rick. We were all training to be architects. It was architecture’s loss I think, or not.

We sort of met because Roger knew that I had a car. I’m not sure that he knew what the car was, because actually it was an Austin 7 Chummy, with a top speed of 20 miles per hour, no brakes. But when he asked if I might lend it to him, he said no. But he also tried to get a cigarette, and famously Rick went, ’No.’ Which really set the tone for the next 50 years.”

An AC/DC icon revealed a painful David Gilmour secret last week. Mason wrote a few days ago on Twitter, “Four years ago, Nick, with Roger Waters, unveiled a commemorative plaque outside London’s University of Westminster (formerly the Regent Street Polytechnic). What do you think they were discussing after pulling the curtain to reveal it?”

Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets have also announced, “This weekend, the official Nick Mason’s #SaucerfulOfSecrets store is running a special discount offer – and the more you buy, the more you save: up to 20% off the normal price! Visit http://nickmason.lnk.to/store to check out the range…” A Pink Floyd member called a bandmate an ‘odd looking guy’ earlier this year.
