AC/DC drummer Chris Slade revealed in a new Rock Today interview that he ‘refused’ to seek out being a millionaire when asked if he ever realized he ‘made it’ in music. An AC/DC icon recently discussed a big name Angus Young replacement.

“I’ve probably never felt it quite like that, actually. All I wanted to do was earn my living playing drums. That was literally it. I didn’t want to be a millionaire, I just wanted to be a successful musician.

People, especially when I was in AC/DC and when I toured with AC/DC, would say ‘Oh, you’re a rock star!’ and I would say ‘No, I’m not. I’m a rock musician.’ There’s a big difference though people don’t see it so much. I’ve always thought of myself as a musician, even though I’m a drummer! (Laughs!) I often make a joke of that of course! I’ve always kept that attitude which I think is very important.”

An AC/DC icon was recently forced to cancel a reunion. BrennaB posted on ACDCFans.net about a rumored new album reuniting Brian Johnson and Angus Young, “I wouldn’t find it odd in the least if they surprise dropped an album. I do t think Angus cares too much for doing press. Hell, apparently he doesn’t even go outside. Lol. Years ago the promotion period was a must without the Internet. I think if he sees a way out of it he would take it. Of course I’m sure they would still do some press but it doesn’t seem as important as it used to be.”

Rickshaw1 discussed how AC/DC promoted their last album Rock or Bust in 2015, “After watching Aerosmith on the Grammys it really made me appreciate how good DC’s performance was in they same stage.”

NYC said, “Grief is hard. Making decisions on behalf of someone who isn’t there is hard. You start second guessing yourself in ways you never have before. He can take his time.”
