Alternative Nation Looking To Broaden Coverage, Seeking Your Feedback

Looking to broaden Alternative Nation without losing its identity, and need some input. We mainly cover 90’s/Generation X style rock right now, but those bands aren’t as active as they used to be, which leads to digging for ridiculous headlines.

Would you like to see more coverage of film, TV, political, and sports figures from the 90’s with the same style/sense of humor we cover 90’s rock? Or would you like to see coverage of more modern music figures, but in a Gen X style way that mocks them like Beavis and Butthead?

I see adding more classic rock as a dead end since those bands are nearing retirement. New band wise, its largely hipster acts out there who don’t appeal to our audience, and the few good ones aren’t enough to sustain site traffic.

I want to expand what we do, but maintain our Gen X style voice. We don’t want to be a Consequence of Sound clone, with all due respect to them, but their audience I think is more of a millennial/Generation Y audience. We tried some broad interviews a few years ago in other genres, but I don’t think any of that really zoned in on building on our identity. Anyways, let me know in the comments what you are into, and what you’d like to see on the site that builds on what we currently are.
