Former AC/DC singer Dave Evans discussed seeing Lou Reed strung out on drugs at a restaurant while having breakfast in a new Metal Voice interview. Brian Johnson called out sad Jimi Hendrix rejection just a few days ago.

“Lou Reed was pretty out of it, when he toured it was a bad time for him. We was helped on the stage with a person on each arm, I thought that was just a stage act but when we had breakfast in the mornings he had a person on each arm just to get breakfast. Lou was not in good shape and when he toured we really couldn’t have a conversation with him. ” (in this period it was known that Lou Reed was having issues and dependencies with drugs and Alcohol).”

An AC/DC icon recently accused Angus Young of attacking a bandmate. He also said about a 2013 album he recorded called Revenge, “I’ve been doing quite a bit of recording for years as a solo artist in Australia. In the U.S. I’ve recorded a couple of albums, one with John Nitzinger from Texas. He’s a Texas rock blues legend, he had his first Gold record in 1973, he also is a former Alice Cooper guitarist. We did an album together of all Johnny’s songs.

He asked me if I’d do his songs, he’s a singer, he’s fantastic, and that was Revenge. The album got 5/5 stars, and one 10/10. We had a great collaboration together, just a synergy we had, that sort of hard rock from Australia, and Texas blues rock. We knocked out two songs a day, it was easy as that, and just got fantastic reviews.”
