AC/DC drummer Chris Slade discussed being rehired in 2014 after Phil Rudd was arrested for possession of cannabis and being part of an alleged murder plot, a charge which was dropped. He made the comments in a La Verdad interview. Slade is now rumored to have been asked to leave AC/DC again with Rudd’s rumored return. An AC/DC member reacted to reunion tour and new album rumors yesterday.

What did it mean for you to return to AC / DC in 2015 for the ‘Rock or Bust’ tour?

“That I could still play at the highest level, even at my age.”

I suppose it was a very different experience to his first period in the band, between 1989 and 1994, after which he was even about to leave the music.

“The truth is that yes I got to leave the music. I started going to art school and didn’t take a drumstick in three years. When I joined the ‘Rock or Bust’ tour it was a different experience, but as I said before, all musicians have to adapt to the circumstances.”

Brian Johnson revealed a ‘nonsense’ Angus Young demand a few days ago. DJ Nick Fury posted a couple of days ago, “💥🚨MEGA RUMOR/LEAK🚨💥 UPDATE: We have heard nothing about Chicago Open Air which leads us to believe it will not be happening in 2020.

Metallica will be headlining all DWP festivals in 2020 including: Sonic Temple, Louder Than Life, Welcome To Rockville, Epicenter, and Aftershock. This includes a new sponsor for all the festivals, Blackened Whisky.

Slipknot is rumored to be performing at all of these festivals as well but doing a very special double set. One set of fan favorites while the other set will feature the entire new album, We Are Not Your Kind played in full.

The final headliner for 1 or 2 of these festivals will be none other than AC/DC featuring the return of Brian Johnson on vocals as a part of a full 2020 world tour.

We also expect to see Judas Priest on several lineups as they celebrate the bands 50th anniversary and have 2 North American runs set for 2020.

Look for an official announcement via Metallica, DWP, and the festival’s social media channels on Thursday October 10th. #StayTuned.”
