AC/DC guitarist Angus Young works with Ken Schaffer, the legendary inventor of the first wireless system for guitars, the Schaffer Vega Diversity System (SVDS), and Ken recently discussed meeting with Angus at a studio in Vancouver, and shared a funny photo of him jokingly yelling. An AC/DC icon revealed why Angus Young is a ‘recluse’ recently.

“My old buddy Angus Young became the proud owner of TRS Tower S/N 0001, and now runs 2 units in his rack. One of the high points of the whole thing was what I was able to arrange for Fil [Olivieri] (and I) to meet Angus in Vancouver to make the presentation. For Fil, flying in from the backwaters of Rome, to actually meet his hero, was a dream come true.

The 15 minutes management had scheduled for the meeting turned into 2 1/2 hours. Angus’s wife, Ellen, served up a terrific homemade feast. Dialogue between Fil and Angus covered was way over my head — technical musical details and minutia of AC/DC tracks, Fil pointing out things Angus never remembered or ever realized… it was amazing. Watching them go back and forth quieted me… it was like watching two tennis champions volley.”

AC/DC are rumored to do a stadium tour and release a new album in 2020, with Brian Johnson, Phil Rudd, and Cliff Williams rejoining the band.

ruffstuff88 had some fun recently with the rampant rumors, spoofing Ferris Bueller’s Day Off in a new ACDCFans.net forum post, “My best friend’s sister’s boyfriend’s brother’s girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who’s going with the girl who saw The Rudd pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it’s pretty serious.” Axl Rose was ripped by Brian Johnson’s famous friend for singing in AC/DC recently.
