Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani Skip The Voice Season 30
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are not expected to return as coaches for NBC’s The Voice Season 30, despite a reported push from the network to reunite them with Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson for the milestone instalment.
The US Sun reported that insiders claimed NBC made “generous offers” and that Shelton and Stefani even carved out time in late summer from their touring commitments to make the filming schedule work before something on their side “derailed” the plan.
According to the report, the Season 30 coaching panel is instead set to feature Ms. Clarkson and Mr. Levine alongside Queen Latifah and country singer Riley Green. The outlet said it contacted NBC for comment.
Stefani, 56, is currently headlining a Las Vegas run at the Sphere with No Doubt, while Shelton, 49, has his own Las Vegas residency dates at Caesars Palace’s Colosseum that run through late May before he resumes touring in July and August.
Shelton was one of The Voice’s original coaches when the series launched in 2011 and ultimately left after Season 23 in 2023, while Stefani first joined as a coach in Season 7 and last served on the panel during Season 26.
In recent months the couple’s busy schedules have fuelled headlines, including a moment when Shelton’s absence from a No Doubt reunion appearance sparked rumours about competing commitments.
NBC has not announced a reason for the reported change, and any future return by Shelton or Stefani would depend on scheduling and whether the show’s producers decide to revisit the reunion concept for a later season.
