Blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus reunited recently with Tom DeLonge to record an After School Radio interview, with Hoppus teasing it may be coming very soon.
Mark Hoppus recently revealed that he has cancer, and fans are discussing it on Reddit.
guysamus182 posted, “My best friend had Hodgkin lymphoma and the doctor told him there’s two types. One you can survive from with chemo and the other is near impossible to survive from. So it sounds like mark has the same.”
jamnut responded, “Hodgkin’s and non Hodgkin’s. I had a test very early for mine. Something about certain cells being found inside the lymph lump.”
Bterres105 said, “Yeah so basically there’s a few variants of Hodgkin’s lymphoma. There’s lymphocyte depleted, mixed cellularity, Nodular sclerosing, and lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Nodular sclerosing Hodgkin lymphoma is the most common lymphoma with a good prognosis, lymphocyte predominant has the best prognosis while the lymphocyte depleted has the worst prognosis. I think the cells your doctor was looking for were the Reed Sternberg cells, aka owl eyes. Those cells tells us that the lymphoma is Hodgkin lymphoma, but then we have to determine the subtype (ie lymphocyte depleted vs lymphocyte predominant).”
