What a year it has been for older musicians who have made a huge impact on the way that music is played today. Guns N Roses have surely been going through it. Truly, you can not talk about the guitar and the way that you can make it sing without talking about the legendary, Carlos Santana. While Carlos may be one of the best to ever do it, he is still human as a recent video shows where he would collapse on stage due to heat exhaustion. This definitely must have his family worried, including his beautiful daughter Stella Santana, who posted a beach photo recently you can see below.
In videos recorded by fans, the 74-year-old musician would sit on the corner of the stage and stop playing the guitar as he tried to collect himself as he knew something was very wrong with himself.
This would be medical personnel who would then attended to Santana. Fans were stunned as the stage crew held up a black tarp to block the view of the stage. Fans in the crowd thought the worst had happened to our dear Carlos Santana and they were witnessing it.
As he was removed off the stage, fans are heard in a video cheering for the musician. The artist waved at fans as he was taken off stage.
Via his Facebook page, the following was stated: “Carlos was taken to the emergency department at McLaren Clarkston for observation and is doing well.”
Carlos would then chime in on social media saying: “Forgot to eat and drink water so I dehydrated and passed out.”
The musician was set to perform with Earth, Wind and Fire on Wednesday night in Pennsylvania, but that concert has been postponed, according to the statement.
