Chris Cornell, Layne Staley, and Scott Weiland have been disrespected yet again by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The nominees were announced today, including Foo Fighters and Rage Against The Machine, but Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, and Stone Temple Pilots did not make the cut.
Soundgarden were nominated for the first time last year, but AIC and STP have never been nominated despite being eligible for the last few years.
Bachy Z tweeted, “Jay Z and LL cool J are finalists for the rock n roll hall of fame but Boston, Peter Frampton, Soundgarden, and many other great actual rock n roll bands/musicians aren’t even in it. Just change the name to musicians hall of fame.”
Gilles LeBlanc said, “Soundgarden before FOOs! And here’s to a DEVO-lution coming to the hallowed halls of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ;)”
Roxy Striar wrote, “Are you telling me this is going to be another year where Chris Cornell/ Soundgarden are not inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame?
Why? WHY?! #RockHall2021.”
David Clark chimed in, “Soundgarden and Alice in Chains ignored by the Rock Hall of Fame. Again. Rage is nominated, and of course the Foo Fighters, too (of course), but……”
Random wrote, “So Dionne Warwick is nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of fame. Those mosh pits at her shows where brutal. #RockHall2021 Joke. No Soundgraden-No Alice In Chains You’re worst then the Baseball Hall of Fame.”
“So once again the words Rock & Roll are meaningless judging by a number of names of this list. No Soundgarden, Alice In Chains & no Tool. This Hall is worst the Baseball Hall of Fame.”
