Eddie Van Halen bandmate Sammy Hagar predicted he will likely die in 20 years, though he would prefer to live to be 100, in a new ABC 7 television interview. He rejected the idea of medical treatment on his death bed at that advanced age in the video interview, as seen below. Alternative Nation transcribed his comments. Sammy Hagar recently reacted to an Eddie Van Halen ‘death bed’ rumor.

“The only thing I can tell you, is every now and then, in the middle of the night, I’m waking up, thinking about things, reflecting for no reason. I think, ‘Wow, I probably have got 20 more years of living.’ That would be a long life, I think 30, I want to live to be 100. I really do, not that I want to be wheeled around or laying in bed some place with oxygen when I’m 100. But I plan on staying healthy that way.

But even if I only have 28 years left on this planet, if I think about the last 28 years, when I first met my second wife Kari, we’ve been together 28 years. I’m going wow, that was quick. That’s the only thing that freaks me out about being 70, or old.

Other than that, everything else is fine. I can still jump over stuff, I can sing and play guitar better than I ever could. I don’t know, I’m alright. My eyes are good, my ears are a little shaky.”

Hagar also recently wrote on his social media, “@danicapatrick We can’t drive 55! #TBT to 2015 when The Circle rocked the @txmotorspeedway! #RaiseHellPraiseDale Who will be watching the Daytona 500 this Sunday?”

Bernaljr.joe commented, “Nice way cool bro. You got it can’t drive 55. Fontana forever red rocker always mark mills.” Hagar responded, “Hey mark Home boys rule.”

Julesrn333 said, “Thought you could redo the lyrics and make the title “I’m alive at 55″. Yes I have a birthday coming up in a couple of weeks. Just a silly thought.😜” Hagar responded, “Happy birthday to you.” Sammy Hagar recently mocked Eddie Van Halen after uploading a bar performance video.
