Eddie Van Halen‘s wife Janie Van Halen discussed the end of 2019 in a new thank you statement to her followers on Twitter.

She wrote, “We are in the last month of the year. I just felt I should thank everyone who made me smile this year. You are one of them so here’s a big thank you.” She also said, “#Fridayfeeling #thankyou Have a #wonderfulweekend.”

Van Halen fans weighed in on Billie Eilish not knowing who Van Halen is on Reddit, after Eddie Van Halen’s son broke his silence on a stomach sickness claim. Spence_ah said, “I get both sides of the story. There are some who are defending her saying they peaked long before she was born and the last time they were ‘active’ is when she was 14 but at the same time… but at the same time, come on girl you’ve never heard Jump?”

Dabobba responded, “I’ve heard of her but never heard any of her songs. We are of different generations and I don’t expect her to know all of the music I still like, just like I hope her fans understand that someone my age (just north of 50) may not have heard her music or other popular music today.

As for your point about Jump – maybe she has heard it but didn’t know the name of the band, just like it is possible that I may have heard a Billie Eilish song and had no clue it was her.”

Potsos chimed in, “I’d guess than less than 1 in 5 teenagers would even have heard of Van Halen–much less know any of their music. Van Halen belongs to the generations they blew away during their years of dominance and that will still with all of us until we’re gone.

Some kids do know and love Van Halen–and I salute the parents for starting them out young! I’m not a fan of Billie Eilish, but I think she has some talent and I don’t mind her not knowing Van Halen. What’s fun is that they’re now linked forever. Life is weird.” Adam Sandler made a bold Eddie Van Halen claim earlier this week.
