KISS icon Gene Simmons’ daughter Sophie Simmons recently uploaded a video of her shaking her body. Last year Sophie played at the Mercury Lounge, her first New York performance. Her father performed at the venue 40 years ago. Gene Simmons made a sad marijuana announcement yesterday.

“There was an old picture of my Dad, which was so cool,” Simmons said in a CBS 2 interview at the time. “It was from the 1970s and I was like I’m in the right place, I’m following the footsteps and slowing getting there.”

She said about growing up, “We were listening to the Beatles, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, and Ella Fitzgerald” said Simmons. “We were listening to all those big names and amazing voices. If you’re going to get influenced by someone, those are the people.”

Tobias Forge revealed what Gene Simmons did to Ghost last week. Sophie also discussed her Christmas song “Courage For Christmas” and the meaning behind it.

“I hope people leave listening to the song feeling like they’ve got a bit more courage to tell that special person how they feel,” said Simmons. “The song for me is about the people I cut out of my life last year. I wish I had just told them one last time I love you and I value you, but I just don’t think you were meant to be in my life. Sometimes the best thing to do is to let people go or tell them how you feel.”

Simmons also recently discussed her 2019 music releases, “Met these boys two years ago and we been making 🔥 every since. @wearemoksi named our song ‘Gipsy’ and it’s dropping friday with @hajcertified singing wrote this song in Belgium in the fall and it’s been in my heart ever since x.”

She said in another post, “Magnets out now! link in bio @samfeldtmusic. What an AMAZING start! We have scored 29 New Music Friday’s on @spotify and the cover + #1 spot on Dance Rising! ♥️ @austinkramer.

The track is in fact #19 in the world for most New Music Friday adds. @mikebiggram
