Green Day is one of the most popular bands of the 90’s, and they are still going strong even now, especially when it comes to their live performances, but some wonder if the band might be forced to retire.
A Green Day fan shared on Reddit a story about how Billie Joe Armstrong reacted when people started leaving a show early recently.
The fan said the concert was amazing, with the crowd really into it, singing and dancing. The venue was great, and Green Day played just as well as they did in their 90s and early 2000s prime. Billie Joe Armstrong was especially good at getting the audience involved with his singing, dancing, and fan interaction.
But around 10:45PM, the fan noticed a lot of people starting to leave the venue. It wasn’t a huge crowd leaving, but it was noticeable. Billie Joe responded by saying, “We’re not f*n’ done yet!” Earlier in the show, he had also asked fans to put away their phones. While his comments weren’t mean, the fan and their partner thought it was a bit rude that people were leaving early.
The fan also said that many people at the show, including themselves, were in their 40’s with kids, and everyone was getting tired. The fan felt bad for both the band, who might have been disappointed to see people leaving, and the parents with tired kids.
