LA Guns have seemingly hit a small bump in the road as they had to adapt to some sad and unforeseen circumstances during their outdoors gig in Plano, Texas. The band’s guitarist Tracii Guns formerly from Guns N’ Roses, who has a very severe panic disorder, had an episode shortly before the gig was scheduled to start, due to the excessive heat in Texas. Many bands seem to be going through a tough year thus far.

This wasn’t the end of the show, however, as Tracii Guns accompanied the group from a separate location as they hit the stage. Tracii decided to play from a backstage bathroom.

Guns stated the following on social media: “A lot of people know I have a panic disorder. While I have it 95 percent under control, heat is the remaining trigger and I simply cannot play in the heat. BUT!!! We have found a solution for today’s show I will be playing in a comfy bathroom directly behind the stage where there is air conditioning. I will do an Instagram live stream during the set if y’all really need to watch me play. I apologize for my crazy brain.”

In the video that was posted to social media, you can see two things. One thing you can see is how shaken the musician is. The second thing that you can see is the determination to continue to move forward in any way possible.

Bassist Johnny Martin added:

“Tracii wasn’t gonna play the show at all. Because his anxiety is still pretty prevalent. He said to me that he wasn’t going to do the show, because the heat was just too unbearable to his condition. And that we’ll just have [second guitarist] Ace [Von Johnson] cover his parts. So, basically, us play as a four piece. I proposed that we find an air conditioned spot near the stage. And … VOILA! … Here we are. Much better than him opting out, all together. I’M A F**KING GENIUS!!”
